Going GREEN

At Kentera Events we recognize that we have an inherent duty to look after the environment in which we operate, all around the world.  We practice different ways designed to reduce our environmental footprint now and in the future – both internally and when managing client meetings, conferences, travel and events. We are experienced in developing and implementing green meeting initiatives and automatically include these practices in our critical planning process for all of our events. The concept of “going green” is becoming increasingly popular around the world, at Kentera Events we are making it out priority to move towards achieving this sustainability. Some of these simple ideas that we try to look out for include:

·         Encourage recycling during conferences and seminars ·         Use 100% recycled paper for events and in your workplace ·         Harness natural resources to power your event, or use venues which already use these resources, such as geothermal energy, and solar power ·         Look for conference bags made from recycled materials ·         Ask venues and operators about their sustainable and environmentally-friendly practices ·         Ask caterers if they separate organic waste for composting ·         Use local suppliers to reduce the need of travelling outside the region to reduce carbon emissions ·         Check the heating and/or air-conditioning of venues/vehicles to ensure its functioning correctly
